ECI Project Manager

Our client is a design, construction, fit-out and refurbishment company based in Sydney NSW. They deliver projects that make a big impact across workplace in, commercial, hospitality, industrial and retail sectors.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Director, the ECI Project Manager is responsible for planning, developing and managing the early contractor involvement (ECI) phase on multiple projects through strategic collaboration with the client, consultants and other stakeholders. This role will also involve the preparation of preliminary design, examining value engineering opportunities as well as assessing the ‘buildability’ of the project.

The projects will cover a range of heavy refurbishment and construction projects from $250k – $15m. If you can rise to the challenge of working to tight deadlines on multiple ECI phase projects at once and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Tertiary Qualification in Building / Construction / Project Management or similar
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as Project Manager or Design Manager in the construction / refurbishment industry (ECI experience preferable)
  • In-depth understanding of design and construction procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles
  • Thorough understanding of quality, safety and environmental standards
  • Experience with procurement and management of consultants
  • Be client-focused with outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills
  • Possess leadership abilities along with the power to guide and influence others
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, MS Project and Procore (ideally)
